It’s almost time to check in at Camp Cryptid!
Starting June 1, kids age 12 years and younger can participate in Ramsey County Library’s 2026 summer reading program. Read 20 books or read for 20 hours before August 8, track your progress on a paper reading tracker or on Beanstack, and win prizes!
Start Summer Reading
Use your Beanstack account, opens a new window or download the Beanstack Tracker app, opens a new window on your device and choose the "Summer Break" program to participate or pick up a reading tracker at a Ramsey County Library location nearest to you.
Attend free programs and events
In addition to the reading challenge, the library is offering many free programs and events to keep kids busy this summer. Pick up a program catalog, along with your reading tracker, bookmark and sticker, to find out what’s happening at each library branch. Can’t wait? Check out all the Summer Reading programs and events on our online calendar. Ask at your local library location for additional details!
Please note that some programs require registration. Online registration will be available until July 1, then registration will be available by calling the library location where the program or event is being held due to a planned software transition this summer.
For fun, be sure to stop by the desk at each library location you visit this summer to get a stamp on your bookmark!
Complete the program
Receive a free book by earning badges in Beanstack or filling out your paper tracker! Complete the program to be entered into a grand prize drawing. All badges or paper tracker must be completed by August 8 to earn prizes. Paper trackers must be returned to a Ramsey County Library location by August 8 to be entered into the grand prize drawing.
