Kids Summer Break @ Home FAQs
YES! June 8th-August 15th
Kids grades 5 and younger can participate in Summer Break @ Home with your Library using Beanstack. This is a program with a lot of options you can use all summer long. You can track the number of books you read, minutes you spend reading, and explore a wide variety of activities and places online. Use your Beanstack account at rclreads.beanstack.org or download the Beanstack Tracker app on your device, log in and choose the “Summer Break” program to participate.
There is also a teen program for grades 6 to 12.
The Ramsey County Library buildings continue to remain closed. However, we are offering a variety of online programs on our Facebook page throughout the summer.
On Mondays at 10:30am, June 15th-August 3rd, we will post a new performance by a local favorite!
Wednesdays at 10:30am we will have storytime guest stars, and Fridays we will continue to post storytimes with librarians.
See our calendar for details!
Another way we will offer programming at home is through Read.Make.Do kits.
These are programs families can register for online and pick up at their local library branch. There will be a variety of different topics, you can choose what best fits your kids! These programs will be available throughout July and August.
Our summer learning program is tracked online through your Beanstack account. There is a wide variety of options for ways to complete badges. Some badges will have an option to download and print a pdf of items to complete. The caregiver would then enter the information into the Beanstack account to earn the badge.
