Ramsey County Library offers a variety of both in-person and virtual computer and technology programs including technology courses, workshops, and drop-in computer & technology help labs.

Classes and Workshops

Classes and workshops are held on a wide range of topics, including:

  • Beginner level, basic computer classes for those with little to no experience on Windows 10, Windows 11, and mobile iOS platforms
  • Internet basics and internet safety
  • E-books and e-readers
  • Smartphones and tablets
  • Orientations to library e-resources, databases, and the catalog
  • Social media
  • Introductions to Microsoft Office programs
  • And more!

Drop-in Computer and Tech Help

Do you need extra help on the computer, tablet, or other piece of technology? Let us answer your basic computer and technology questions. Drop-in help is available at the following locations:

Registration is not required

Mondays, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
RCL - Shoreview

Wednesdays, 5-7 p.m.
Thursdays, 1-3 p.m.
RCL - Roseville

One-to-One Computer and Tech Help by Appointment

Individual basic computer and technology help is available by appointment at the Maplewood and White Bear Lake Library. Staff will help with your basic technology questions including email, working on resumes or documents, mobile devices, e-books, and social media. Call Maplewood Library 651-724-6003 or White Bear Lake Library 651-724-6007 to schedule your ½ hour help session!

Are you curious about how to use your new device with the Library's OverDrive / Libby service? Help is available. Bring your Kindle, iPad or other device for hands-on instruction.
