Summer Reading at Ramsey County Library begins June 2

Participants in this year's summer reading program will have the opportunity to track their summer reading and activities, opens a new window online with Beanstack, opens a new window or on a paper tracker.

Pick up your summer reading program catalog, reading tracker, keychain, and other materials at a Ramsey County Library location near you starting June 2. Ask at your local library location for additional details!

Start Summer Reading: Use your Beanstack account, opens a new window or download the Beanstack Tracker app, opens a new window on your device and choose the "Summer Break" program to participate or pick up a paper tracker at a Ramsey County Library location, opens a new window nearest to you.

Complete the Program: Earn a free book by earning badges in Beanstack or filling out your paper tracker! Complete the program to be entered into a grand prize drawing. All badges or paper tracker must be completed by August 9 to earn prizes.

Grand Prizes: Participants who complete the summer reading program will automatically be entered in a Beanstack drawing for a four-pack of tickets to Minnesota State Fair, a four-pack of tickets to Sea Life at the Mall of America, or a two-pack of tickets to Eagles Nest Indoor Playground in New Brighton. 

Grades 5 and under: Track the number of books read, time spent reading or activities completed on Beanstack or write down titles or time spent reading on your paper tracker.

Pre-K and under: Children ages 6 and younger can participate in both our summer reading program and our year-round program, 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. Ask your librarian for details.

The summer reading program is sponsored by the Ramsey County Library Friends, MELSA, Minnesota State Fair, Minnesota Twins, Mall of America, City of New Brighton, and Mackin Books with additional funding from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
