What do ancient bones tell us about our early human ancestors? Author Kermit Pattison tells the story of fossils and the fascinating adventurers of those who hunt for them. He’ll discuss the scientific saga behind discoveries such as Ardi, an ancient skeleton from Ethiopia, which is more than a million years older than the now legendary Lucy. Pattison also will show how these finds fit into the larger picture of human evolution.
Kermit Pattison is a journalist and author of Fossil Men: The Quest for the Oldest Skeleton and the Origins of Humankind (William Morrow, November 2020).
This webinar is offered by OLLI at the University of Minnesota in partnership with the Ramsey County Library with support from Friends of the Ramsey County Libraries.
