Books in the News - 9/16/12

Telegraph AvenueHere's what happening in the local papers, bookwise!  Over at the Pioneer Press, they featured Telegraph Avenue by Michael Chabon, and a host of info about local author signings.

In the Star Tribune Books section, there was a front page article about the next Talking Volumes author, Jeffrey Toobin and his book The Oath: The Obama White House and the Supreme Court.  In the Five Faves of the Moment, Eloisa James's historical romance The Ugly Duchess got a lovely shout-out.  The Oath

On the non-fiction side of things, they reviewed The Scientists by Marco Roth, Hidden America: From Coal Miners to Cowboys, an Extraordinary Exploration of the Unseen People Who Make This Country Work by Jeanne Marie Laskas, and When America First Met China by Eric Jay Dolin.  Fiction included the delightful sounding Laura Lamont's Life in Pictures by Emma Straub and short story collection from Graywolf Press, The Book of Mischief by Steve Stern.

Happy Reading!
