Summer Reading Program

Bookawocky: Your Summer Reading Experience

June 7 - August 17

Get reading with "Bookawocky," Ramsey County Library's 2014 Summer Reading Program! Designed to inspire and encourage children of all ages to read as much as they want throughout the summer, the Summer Reading Program is a fun way to explore new books all summer long.

To participate:
Ages 4 and under - Pick up a special reading record at any Ramsey County Library. Color in an item each day you read or have books read to you. After 14 days of reading, bring the record to your Ramsey County Library for prizes like a book, shaker egg or play-doh!

Ages 5 - 11 - Simply read and either write about or draw a picture illustrating each book you read. When you've read four books, bring your "Read, Write, Draw!" booklet to your local Ramsey County Library and receive a prize. Prizes include: A free book, a ticket to the MN State Fair, a ticket to the Water Park of America, and a coupon for free ice cream from Culver's. Keep reading beyond four books and get entered into the grand prize drawing for a one year family museum membership!

The Summer Reading Program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ramsey County Libraries and Metropolitan Library Service Agency (MELSA), with additional contributions from Minnesota State Fair and Culver's Family Restaurants.

*Please note: The Summer Reading Program is not competitive. Not all activities and prizes are appropriate for children under five years old.  Some coupons may have age limits.  All prizes available while supplies last.
