What credit cards do you accept?
You can use any credit or debit card featuring the
Visa or MasterCard logo.
Can I pay less than the full amount
that I owe?
Yes, full or partial payments are accepted.
The Library, however, encourages use of credit cards for
fees of $5 or more.
Can I apply my payment to specific items or charges?
Not
at this time. Payments are applied to the oldest charges first.
Can I pay more than I owe?
No, the
system will not accept payment for more than the amount
owed.
Will I be charged a service or convenience fee if
I pay using my credit card?
No
How soon will my account be credited?
Your credit card payment is applied to your library account
as soon as you complete the transaction.
Are my
transactions secure?
Yes, the Library uses a secure server combined with an
encryption certificate. Look for the "https:" in the
web address and the lock symbol on your browser indicating a
secure connection. Ramsey County Library uses a
Verisign certificate to indicate a secure connection.
If you do not see "https:" you are not using a secure
connection and should not proceed.
What is the CVV2#?
CVV2 stands for Card Verification Value
to help secure Internet transactions.
It is a three digit code next to the
signature strip on the back of the
credit card.
Can I get a receipt?
Yes, you can print a receipt at the end of your transaction.
If you print from a Ramsey County Library computer, normal printing
charges will apply.
Do you accept credit card payments
over the telephone?
No, credit card payments may only be made online.
Can
Library staff take my credit card payment?
At this time Library staff is not allowed to enter customer
credit card information.
Refund Policy
Lost
items which have been paid for may be
returned for a refund by check with the
following exceptions:

If the original due date of the item
is more than one year in the past, no
refund is possible.

If payment for the lost materials was
made through Revenue Recapture tax or
rebate deductions, no refund is
possible.

If the credit on a patron’s record is
less than the service threshold, no
refund request will be submitted.
Rather, the credit will remain on the
patron’s record and be used against
future charges.
