What were the songs that sent the Greatest Generation to War? Join us for an evening of World War II era music with vocalist/ historian Lee Engele and her talented friends. You won’t want to sit Under the Apple Tree (or anyplace else) with Anyone Else but Them!
World War II: We Remember the Minnesota Homefront

Moderator Jay Grammond and a panel of guests recall their parts in the war effort in Minnesota. From cultivating a Victory Garden to living without silk stockings, every civilian had opportunities to contribute to the defeat of the Axis Powers in World War II.
These programs is part of a major series on World War II at the Library this fall and are funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
