The library in Roseville is Ramsey County's first LEED certified building.
The renovated Roseville library, designed by Meyer, Scherer & Rockcastle, Ltd. and constructed by McGough Construction, has been awarded the "Gold" level certification by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) for its sustainable design and construction principles.

LEED
In order to ensure the highest quality of sustainability, the new library in Roseville was designed using the U.S Green Building Council's (USGBC) LEED rating system.
The USGBC is a nationally recognized coalition working to promote environmentally responsible, healthy places to live and work. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. LEED certified buildings provide a standard for environmentally sustainable construction and indoor environmental quality by optimizing water, energy and material efficiencies. The new library in Roseville is LEED registered and seeking Gold Certification.

Preferred Parking
Fuel Efficient Vehicles
According to the USGBC, low-emitting and fuel-efficient vehicles are defined as vehicles that are either classified as Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) by the California Air Resources Board or have achieved a minimum green score of 40 on the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE) annual vehicle rating guide.

Car and Vanpool parking spots
The car and vanpool spots are available to anyone with more than one person in their vehicle. This means that parents with a van full of kids (or just one kid) are more than welcome (and encouraged) to use the car- and vanpool parking spots.
