Mounds View Community Theatre presents:

Date: June 7, 2013

Les Misérables

Mounds View Community Theatre is celebrating 30 years of bringing theater to the Twin Cities north suburban area by presenting the regional premiere of Les Misérables, the world's longest running musical. The show will be performed at Irondale Theater from July 12 to July 28.

The library in Mounds View will mark this exciting occasion by taking a look behind the scenes of Les Misérables – the musical and the book!

Les Misérables: Behind the Curtain
  Monday, July 1, 6 p.m.
  RCL – Mounds View

Join us for a peek behind the scenes of a musical in progress. We’ll welcome members of the company to talk about what goes into putting together a stage musical, such as scenic design, costumes, casting and more.

Les Misérables: Beyond the Book
  Thursday, July 11, 6 p.m.
  RCL – Mounds View

Before you see the show, join us for a discussion of Les Misérables by Victor Hugo: the book, its themes, and how the book was adapted into a musical. Don’t worry, you don’t need to read the book before attending the discussion.  Contact the library at 651-724-6004 for more information.

This program is funded with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
